Requirements:

An individual with sound bookkeeping experience is required to assist with daily operational processing. Experience in Pastel Partner/ Sage Evolution will be advantageous.


The position is based in George, Western Cape

Role and Responsibility:

The successful candidate will be involved in the identification of and implementation of key processes, risks and related controls pertaining to Compliance within the Group. The individual will provide independent assurance on key regulatory compliance controls within Business units and ensure adherence to the Compliance Plan identified and agreed on by the Risk Committee.

    Required Knowledge and Skill:

  • Report writing
  • Intermediate: Excel and Word
  • Planning & organising at a group level
  • Integration of reporting for insight at a Board Level
  • Root cause analysis
  • Legislative analysis & interpretation
  • Assessment of the adequacy & effectiveness of controls

    Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Matric is compulsory
  • Bachelors Degree (Law, Commerce, Auditing)
  • Diploma in Compliance Management
  • 5 years compliance risk management at a senior level

    Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To assist in executing the approved Audit Plan as a member of the Internal Audit Function.
  • As a team member assist to plan, execute and report on audits in accordance with the approved audit methodology.
  • Identification and assessment of internal controls.
  • Report constructively on audit findings and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the implementation of recommendations made.
  • Maintain a positive professional relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
    Requirements:

  • B degree in Internal Auditing (or other degree with audit as a major subject) or equivalent.
  • Any auditing or insurance industry related experience will be advantageous.
